Puffin Malbec

Puffin Wines welcomes Malbec back to the flock!

Tasting Notes

The 2015 Puffin Malbec is a beautiful ruby red wine with firm tannins.

This full-bodied Malbec delivers aromas of blueberry , dark chocolate, toasted coconut.

On the palate, this firmly structured wine offers delicious flavors of blueberry, plum, toasted coconut and cedar.

Malbec’s classic food pairing is red meat and I think a grilled ribeye should be on the dinner plate with Puffin Malbec!  Puffin Malbec is extremely food-friendly and can also be served with game, lamb, chili, stews, mushrooms and sausage.

Product Notes

All of the fruit for this Malbec comes from Spofford Station vineyard in Walla Walla, WA.  In the cellar, this wine was aged for 9 months in oak barrels.   Approximately 67% of the oak barrels were French and 33% of the oak was American.
